Welcome to The Creator Within, presented by Mathewson Artistry. Thank you for visiting. This is the spaced where the essence of creation flows from a deep love of the arts into tangible form —whether through the captured moment of fin art photography, the expressive stroke of a paintbrush, the rich texture of charcoal on paper, or the vibrant pigment splashed across a substrate.

I live with the awareness of a Divine Source, present in all things, who has graciously bestowed upon me talents I choose to share with the world. My passion and wish is to always grow as an artist, photographer, author, illustrator and designer. This sounds like many hats to balance as one individual but they all are gifts derived from the same source — the creator within.

It is my deepest hope that as you gaze upon my artwork or step into one of my interior design spaces, you feel the divine spark of beauty resonating within your own spirit — a gentle reminder of the eternal truth that we are all connected through unconditional love.

My name is Rachelle Mathewson. I am a multidisciplinary artist, fine art photographer, author, illustrator, interior designer and occasional campfire storyteller. Raised in the charming small town of Oakdale, California — where cowboys still roam and family traditions run deep. I earned my degree in Fine Arts, and Interior Design and Architecture at the accredited Design Institute of San Diego (DISD).

For more than 25 years I worked as a professional interior designer in San Diego and San Francisco Bay Area, creating environments for some of the world’s leading corporations. All the while, I continued to paint, craft, photograph, and create art, keeping my heart and hands attuned to the living connection between myself and the Divine Creator.

Following the challenges of the 2020 global pandemic and personal trials — my soul cracked wide open. God’s love poured in like an empty well suddenly overflowing, and from that Mathewson Artistry and The Creator Within were born, along with my published children’s book series, Whispers of the River Faye.
